I was hesitant to spend this much money on a pair of sneakers for walking my dog, but I've been plagued with relentless plantar fasciitis pain in my right heel, and it has kept me from being active the way I want to be. I was in constant, 24/7 pain, even when sitting. It was excrutiating, and I just couldn't take it any more. I joined a support group on Facebook, and tons of people recommended these shoes specifically. I was willing to try anything at that point, so I used the "try before you buy" program to see how they worked for me. I felt a difference as soon as I put them on! The most noticeable difference is that this particular shoe gives your foot a pronounced tilt forward, taking the constant pressure off your heel and shifting the impact forward to the ball of your foot. This brought immediate relief! Also, I had purchased some Dr. Scholls Plantar Fasciitis insoles previously to use in other shoes, and I noticed that the insoles that come in these shoes are almost identical to the thickness and shape of those, except that the ones in these shoes have an even higher arch support. I can walk in these and not feel like I'm walking on rocks under my heel. When I sit, there's not the constant, throbbing pain that continues. I experienced relief from the very first day I put them on, and it has gradually improved. So I didn't even need the full 7-day trial to know that these were golden! So if you have this type of foot problem, feel confident that these shoes will help you ease the discomfort. Also, I have a very narrow foot, and I was pleasantly surprised that this brand sells narrow widths. My narrow (and thin from top to bottom) foot usually makes it quite difficult to get a good fit in any type of shoe, but these are magical! This was my first Brooks purchase, but I will definitely be back again when I need to replace these shoes. I highly recommend them! I'm also pleasantly surprised that such a solid, supportive shoe is so very lighweight. I didn't expect they would be so airy, but they really are so great for everyday wear.I have had several pairs of the Ghost running shoes and I just love them I just received the Ghost 14 and went straight out of the box on a 3 mile run. They have a lot of support and cushion in the shoe. My feet never hurt when doing my activities and they have a lot of great colors. I normally wear 7 1/5 but I went up to a 8W I have a wide toe box so I need that extra width and I think they do run 1/2 size smaller. They are Great!!!!I have very "cranky" feet. I normally need to use an special inserts to be able to walk without my feet hurting. The Brooks shoes do not need an additional insert. The Brooks shoes cost more that I was spending on walking shoes, but if you take the price I was paying for another brand of shoe and the amount I was paying for an insert that I had to buy separately, the shoes are a bargain.Delivered 3 weeks early! Such a nice surprise.Love the black colour, sleek and perfect for daily wear. Very comfortable with wide fit. Support is good too. Ran 5k a few times so far, time will tell!I have the regular fit of Brooks Ghost 14 Women's Neutral Running Shoe in Aqua too. Bought the black wide fit pair from Amazon as a comparison. Aqua colour is lovely as well, also ran 5k a few times.I will revert at a later time where I've tested both equally. So far - I'm happy!I have plantar fascitis in my right foot and the pain can be unbearable. I’ve had these about three weeks and can honestly say they’re helping. It’s not perfect and the pain isn’t just healed but I can tolerate getting up after sitting down for a while and I can walk a little further distances in these shoes. I’d highly recommend them. I used to wear New Balances and these are better. These shoes have been a game changer for me. I’m awaiting knee replacement surgery. I was starting to need a cane so I could continue to walk and work. Since wearing these shoes I no longer need a cane. I’m a kindergarten teacher, so you can imagine I’m on my feet a lot. I’ve just bought my second pair! If you have knee pain, these shoes are a must have!!My Doctor diagnosed me with Plataners fasciitis flat feet and I have been in excruciating pain and she told me to look into better sneakers so I started researching on a lot of sneakers till I came across the Brooks and I don’t workout I do a lot of walking and I read the reviews on the other customers that were also suffering the same pain that I’m in and that help me to make a decision on these sneakers and I have to say I receive them today September 16,2022 on Friday and I didn’t waste any time I put them on right away and they feel comfortable with the support I been looking for… so Thank you customers for Always reviewing the products because it really made my life a whole lot easier and Just to mention this is my opinion and also I where a size 10 in women’s is true to size if you have a wide foot you would have to choose your proper size and width I really don’t know how half sizes run because I don’t have that problem… so Goodluck to everyone that are looking for a good sneakers for their pain… take care and God Bless You All. Thank You Amazon!I purchased these on September 6 was avoided them for over a month because I am usually disappointed and frustrated with the way shoes fit since I have wide feet. I finally wore them today and was so happy. Very comfortable a long walk and did not feel tight. I had always heard good things about Brooks and so glad I gave it a try.Love these trainers. Lightweight & comfortable.I am not a runner but walk my large dogs a lot.I'd say the Ghost 14 is a slightly more narrow fitting than Ghost 12. I take a wide fitting in a Clarke's Court shoe but find the normal width fitting is fine in Brooks.I take size 4 in a shoe but always go for a size 5 in trainers.I believe Brooks trainers warrant their priceI've worn Brooks Ghost trainers for a few years now and they are excellent shoes. I have damaged nerves in my feet and these are the best I've found for cushioning and support. As with a lot of running shoes I wear a size bigger than my normal shoe size. I'm normally a size 5, but wear a size 6 or 6.5 running shoe. For the Ghosts I need a size 6.5. They're very secure on and have plenty of wiggle room for toes, which is a must for me. I've tried to buy them a few times from Amazon, but they seem incapable of sending a 6.5 and consistently send me a size 6. So I have to buy elsewhere. Might be fine if you're not looking for half sizes!Really comfortable. I have high instep, painful feet and weak ankles but like to walk - a lot!Its alway a challenge to find trainers that look really stylish but are comfortable and supportive. I probably will never buy another brand again as these trainers are like heaven. Absolutely perfect.I love these trainers. I’m on my feet all day in them as a teacher. I’m fairly wide across the toes but have narrow heels that I find don’t suit lots of other trainers. These are really supportive. I’m a EU 40 or 6.5 UK usually and I take a 7 in these. They would be perfect for me if they didn’t soak up rain water like sponges. Can’t have it all I guess!Great running shoes, probably the “springiest” I’ve had to date. These are my second pair of Brooks. I’ll be sticking with Brooks for good. These shoes are hugely comfortable.
