Adidas Ultraboost X Women's Running Shoes - Lightweight, Cushioned & Breathable for Jogging, Gym Workouts & Daily Wear

I bought these with the intent of wearing them like normal sneakers (read: with socks). The reviews indicated that I might want to size up OR stay with my current size (I'm kind of right between 8.5 and 9). I bought an 8.5 because it was available in the size and style that I wanted and I did not get an overwhelming sense that I should size up.The shoes came, and they fit - but they fit BEST without socks. This is a sock-type shoe, so I read up a bit and discovered that you can wear these without socks (a weird and uncomfortable concept, for whatever reason), so I first tried without socks. They were INCREDIBLE. I struggle with shin splints during power walking/jogging exercises, and these shoes pretty much eliminated that pain. My feet sweated a bit, but there was no slippage and no painful rubbing/irritation/blistering, and the shoe is extremely breathable, so the sweat did not linger too far past the end of my workout. The insole wanted to come out when I took the shoe off, but many reviews said to remove it if you want to wear without socks, anyway. It removes easily.I tried a second time with thin socks, but they were not as comfortable. They became too tight for comfort and I struggled a bit more with leg pain than I would have wanted to.I have decided to keep the shoes at the current size and proceed without socks. I will remove the insoles for good and go from there. This shoe is incredible.If you want to wear socks, SIZE UP. If you are comfortable experimenting without wearing socks, buy this shoe in your true size. You won't be disappointed.Bought these for my fiance and she wanted to leave a review:The fit: These sneakers are GREAT for runners with average-narrow feet. They do fit snugly but not uncomfortably. The support is excellent but I am worried that this may change over time. The design is made so that the middle of the shoe does not connect to the base of the shoe at all, you can slide multiple fingers through the middle of it. I hope that the arch support at this spot doesn't give too much because of this.The run: This is the first time I've had a comfortable first run in a pair of sneakers. Little to no need for breaking in and definitely no blisters (Thank goodness). I have neutral-slight pronation in my feet when I run and I felt like added support complemented this, also giving a great amount of cushion for stringy strides. Hopefully, time will do these sneakers well!I use these shoes for cross training, typically on concrete surfaces and I love them!! The fit is very snug around the arch, particularly the back, and the shoe hugs the talus bone, which is super comfortable for me. I have plenty of space to spread my toes and the material is very breathable, which I find great for circulation. There is a significant lift in these shoes, which I find helpful for certain lifts, although I prefer flat shoes for dead lifts, overall I have no issues. I've heard these aren't the best shoes for running, and I can't speak to that since I'm not using them for endurance activities, but I love the shock absorbing base for jumps. Aesthetically, the clear grey goes with everything and isn't so light that I'm worried about getting the shoes dingy.I had been experiencing discomfort in my feet and have been looking for a worthy pair of shoes. I was always led back to the Ultraboost X Running shoes. The price is a steep $180 that I could not imagine paying. I wanted the black or gray ones, but noticed the pink were on sale for $120 and bit the bullet. I am so glad I did! They came in yesterday, and like another reviewer stated, it's as if I am walking on clouds. I incorporated them into my home workout and had no complaints. If these ever wear out, which I am sure they will, I will not think twice about buying another pair.In absoultely in love with these shoes. To pay this absolutely absurd price you better receive an amazing product.The support in these is great and the fabric is super quality. See attached pictures for styling details.My only complaint is the sizing. I usually wear anywhere from a 5.5-6.5 in women's shoes. I ordered the 6.5 and they fit like a 5.5 , depending on the brand. I'd say definitely go a half or one size up from your normal size.Overall, I'm in love. You've just got to get the right size. The squishy material of the sole is well worth the $180. If you want quality running shoes, these are it.Really comfortable!!! I love how they feel, the cushion is extremely comfortable. Conforms to your foot super well!Update... bought a second pair in black!!!I bought this shoe while traveling through London and Paris last Septemberbecause my feet hurt, and I forgot another pair of Addidas at home. These shoes are so comfortable you can wear them all day and your feet feel great. I walk about 8 miles every day and my feet do not hurt at all. Love them, and have several pair.I bought them 1/2 size smaller than my regular shoe size because they run large for me.Diseño ergonómicamente perfecto!!! se amolda a tus pies y a tu arco! lástima que es un modelo antiguo y me costó mucho trabajo conseguir unos idénticos … así es de qué altamente recomendables!!! ojalá pues saquen otros pronto los de Adidas igual a este quizás con más tecnología pero me encanta me encanta me encantan
