As a long-time ASICS fan, it’s all I wear for running and all my kids wear; I’m so disappointed in these. My last ASICS were the gel cumulus 18 and these 20s are not the same. I read many reviews to ensure that I was buying the right thing online and that they hadn’t changed too much but unfortunately, it didn’t help. ASICS has I significantly increased the padding in the tongue and upper portion of the shoe making it feel much tighter. (I realized this immediately but only feel the discomfort around mile 3 of a run). It begins to rub a pressure point and makes a hot spot. The bed of the shoe seems less cushiony than my previous ASICS. I remember getting them and feeling like I was walking on a cloud - not with these. I ordered my typical shoe size and they fit length and width wise. My real issue is the excessive amount of padding at the top of the shoe. The delivery was fast and free with prime it’s truly just the design of the shoe that has me disappointed.
