Size and color accurate! Mizunos are my go to active sneakers! As nearly all reviews of this shoe suggest, buy a size larger than you usually wear, because this shoe runs small. I've heard that you should have at least a thumb between your longest toe and the front of the shoe, unless you like your shoes fit very close to your toes, in which case you might try going up 1/2 a size from your normal one. Another thing I had to do--use the extra shoe lace hole (the sixth one down from the one the closest to your toes)--the one along side the fifth lace hole, and that will tighten the heel and give you some more mid sole strength, as well as reducing any extra width you might find with a whole size larger. The bright turquoise color was a stretch for me (I usually buy running shoes in gray or dark blue), but I'm getting to like it--a nice change from winter drabs.I’m not sure how to feel about these shoes! Usually I’m a Mizuno waverider kinda gal but thought to change it up.There are definitely lighter & more comfortable than the wave rider but the fit is just a little bizarre. I’m usually an 8 in wave rider so ordered 8.5 in these based on all the reviews of how they are too small. I’ve taken them on 4 runs (two treadmill, 2 outside) and it’s like the shoe is too big, doesn’t support/hold the back of my foot like I’m used to BUT my toes are at the tip so if I went down a size they’d definitely be too small.I don’t want to go through the work of returning these but I doubt I’ll order this style again.Hope that helps!(Photo is 8.5 of this shoe compared to the 8 in the newest waverider)My old running shoes were Mizuno Catalyst and they were my favorite shoes until these Mizuno Shadows!! I needed a new pair desperately since my old ones were falling apart. I run and do stroller strides workout classes 4 days a week. I saw these blue/black Shadows for $31 on amazon and ordered them up in my usual size 6. (I am a 5 1/2 or 6 in all shoes, always a 6 in Mizuno). These fit true to size on me. Good amount of room and flexibility in the toebox, and the heel feels fairly stable (I tried them with and without my orthotics and they feel great both ways- but I always put orthotics in when I run). The best surprise was the color! I didn’t particularly like the blue/black combo online, but it was the cheapest- so I went with it. So glad I did!! In person the color is a deep turquoise blue- very bright and fun!! Definitely worth the $!Love these Mizunos. Have been a Mizuno fan since discovering the Wave Riders years ago. The newer Wave Riders haven't been as suitable for me so decided to test run other shoes in their stock. Loved the EVO Ferris sadly though they are no longer available. Loved the Kazan trail shoe. Now have just bought the Wave Shadow 2 and from first wear are perfect. There is no cutting into my ankles and my knees, hips and ankles have been pain free. Other reviews stated the heals need time for adjustment. I haven't found any problem with it. For anyone who wants less soul and more road feel these work. Up to five miles they have been great. I have been a runner for a couple decades now and have run in Adidas, Filas, and New Balance. Keep loving the Mizunos.I got this because my boyfriend has a pair and seems to always feel comfortable while running. Unfortunately these run small. I got them in size 7 as that’s usually my normal sneaker size but they were way too tight my poor toes, were squished. I ordered a size bigger and now they seem to fit better. The blue is on the smaller size and purple is the one the fits better. They seem like they same size but you can tell when you wear them. These are lightweight, at only around 7 oz. for women. As other reviews mentioned, I have a little heel slip, but not bad once I laced up using the topmost holes and wearing thicker socks. The front of the shoe fits perfectly and feels great; snug but not too tight. I am one of the people who enjoy the "socklike feel" and have no problems with the way it wraps my forefoot.pretty colors, shoe runs small. I wear an 8 normally and most of the time if the review states they run small i still do ok with an 8 because my feet are narrow and more like a 7.75 size... but this time reviews were true and the shoe was actually small. My toes hit the end. Not super comfortable as the toe box is tight.I’ve had these shoes for a while nowand they have been awesome. I wore them all over the country as well as Europe, Spain, Italy and Ireland this year. They wear up totally well and we’re great on my feetBought these as I already own Mizuno wave inspire for running & wanted a more neutral shoe for power walks & shorter runs. These were tight at first but soon afterwards changed & fit great. They are great shoes so far .. always have good luck with Mizunos! These are the 3rd pair of Mizuno's have bought but the first ones off Amazon and for some reason these are running tight and a bit small. I ordered the same exact style and size as I always do, so I'm not sure why they are running a bit tight.Speedy and responsive for tempo and speed work. Enough cushion for long runs!Great all around shoes!parfait
