Vibram Women's KSO Minimalist Running Shoes - Barefoot Style for Trail Running, Gym Workouts & Outdoor Fitness Activities

I struggled and struggled to get these shoes on after ordering a size larger than what I wear. Because there were no laces and just the stretchy mesh fabric they were too tight to even get on my foot with my high arches.I really enjoy these shoes. I got them after being diagnosed with Scoliosis and these shoes have helped me with my posture. I tend to overcompensate on my right side, and with these I am able to feel it and correct it.I love toe shoes, my feet and knees love them too.. but this style was really difficult to get my feet in them.. I did send these back but got the classic more open style.I have a different style of vibrams that I wear a 39 in. I also own Birkenstock’s that are a 39. These run small I had to order a 40 which was an American size 9. I’m an American but European sizing actually fits better but vibram is off with the sizing for this shoe. The hole that you put your foot in is too tight initially but after forcing my foot into the shoe for a couple of weeks it has stretched out.It I’d quite difficult to get over the heel but once the shoe is on, it is quite comfortable and durable.These are my favorite shoes ever!I got these primarily because i heard they were good for the way you walk, and for balance.After wearing these all the time I completely dread having to put on any other show and refer to them as toe prisons. Im usually either wearing these, or am barefoot.The material is a very thin rubber on the bottom and an even thinner mesh on top. This was exactly what I wanted.Breaking them in was a little rough. I had some toe socks i would wear with them and ultimately decided the easiest way would be to take them on a tiny hike. Boy did that work.After breaking in they are the most comfortable pair of shoes I own and have become my everyday shoes.It completely changed the way i walk. If you walk a little heel-heavy or on the balls of your feet, this will completely fix that. I also notied that my sense of balance has improved dramatically.I tried to have them replace my gym shoes but ultimately decided that they were a little too minimal for some of my exercises so I will continue to wear them as an everyday shoe.Bonus perk; Drop something on the ground? Pick it up with your toes in these shoes.They are really great for hiking that said this particular style of vibram does have a very narrow opening, if you've tried any of their shoes with the drawstring tie, these are a bit more snug, and if you have a wide foot I would recommend getting a size up or a style with drawstring. I have a very narrow foot so they fit just great. A did a little breaking in with them on an 8 mile hike on the first day and I have no blisters, was very comfortable just a little snug by the end as they begin to stretch out a bit to honor my foots unique shapes. That said I absolutely love vibram, this is my first pair and it's the first time in my life that I have gone hiking without ANY knee pain. I am notoriously hiking barefoot because even the nicest hiking boots causes me to have extreme pain in my knees, I am so happy to have found shoes that are like being barefoot (how I prefer to spend life -Earthing is a real thing and great for your energy system!) and I am even more thrilled to be able to go on intense hikes, which I love now without the knee pain!! Highly recommend!These shoes are hard to get into at first but we’ll worth it. They feel so good on and mimic walking barefoot. I highly recommend these.So comfortable!Bought these because I broke both of my ankles last summer, the impact for my fall damaged the soft tissue in my feet and also having reconstruction surgery which has made it incredibly painful to walk especially when walking for a long time.. I also damaged my tendons which regular shoes were making worse. These have really helped me walk without any pain.Highly recommendThese are so comfy, it gives all the benefit of being barefoot with the protection of a shoe. I wear them with and without toe-socks, either just out and about or whilst at the gym. They are expensive which did put me off buying them for a long time, but I really notice the differerence in freedom of movement between these and even high quality trainers. The one thing I can't use them for, despite the product blurb saying you can, is running - it just doesn't provide the structure and impact protection you need.I've been wearing Vibram FiveFingers for years now, after switching to minimalist shoes I find it hard to want to wear anything else now.I tend to get through a pair of these at least every year as I use them day to day as well as for running. In the winter months I tend to switch to my KSO Treks which have a bit more sole and tread on and also help to keep my feet a bit drier.Just ordered, got them next day, productis good quality, but was sent a USA size which is too small, only option is to refund and buy again which is a pain.Great fit and once you've figured out getting all your toes in the right place they feel great. I've bought other styles of these shoes previously and these initially felt slightly tighter and harder to actually get on but now they're worn in they're great.
