I bought these specifically for a trip to Iceland. They worked supremely well with zero break in needed. The shoes are very light and the shape fit my narrow feet perfectly. I had no problems whether walking downhill on loose gravel or through slippery rocky paths near waterfalls. I appreciated the ease of which they slipped on/off too. (As a side note I ordered the goretex version of the same shoe to compare and the gtx ones are heavier and slightly beefier. I contemplated keeping the gtx as they were pretty much the same price point then but am happy with these for personally I prefer a lighter shoe model)
