This is my 2nd pair of this style of NB sneakers, and they are still my fave work shoes. (In case you didn't see the title of my post, I'm a nurse, both in a school and on a cardiac unit.) In addition to these 840s, I have tried 4 other NB styles, Vionic, Sketchers and 3 non-sneaker types of shoes. These have been, by far, the best at preventing foot and leg exhaustion, ankle pain, shin splints (which I used to get when I wore Danskos), and back pain. I also don't need a breaking-in period for them, which I need with almost all shoes I buy.Why else do I love them so much?-They provide structure AND lots of cushion. My other sneaks tend to do well with one or the other, but not both. I need both for those 12-hr, crazy busy shifts.-I typically wear a wide width in sneakers (thank you son and daughter!), but I could probably do a regular width because the toe box is roomy. I don't have issues with bone spurs or bunions, but I imagine that the wide width in these would help with those issues.-My last pair has held up very well for 2 years. I still have them, in fact. I should have purchased a new pair earlier given how many miles I put on them at work, but I had already spent so much $ on different styles and types of shoes, I couldn't swing it.-They aren't cheap, but they also aren't $180+ like Hokas.-My daughter's PT said these were great sneakers when she saw me wearing them at one of her appointments. :)Totally recommend these sneakers, esp if you are on your feet running around for a good part of the day!I’ve been wearing the 840 for years. It’s one of only a handful of shoes that have a wide toe-box. When we run, our toes splay out for support. I have no idea why most running shoes taper at the toe, it’s counter-productive. This shoe is perfect and gives my toes the space they need to support me when I run. It also has decent arch support. They say you should order a half size up for running shoes, but as this has the wide toes box, I’d order your normal size. Once you try these, you won’t want another shoe.The website was easy to navigate, plenty of stock to choose from (I wear orthotics so I need wide sizes which aren't easy to find on many sites), & I got my shoes in the specified time which was a reasonable wait time. I've been buying NB 840v4 for about 4-5 years, and they are great!I am overweight and stand/walk for my job 9+ hours a day. These are the only shoes I have found that keep my feet from absolutely hating me. My only complaint is they seem to wear out where my big toe is, but maybe that is just me. I just bought my 3rd pair and will probably keep buying them anyway because they are comfortable and the only shoes that provide any relief that I have found.Not wide enough. I ordered extra wide but the tag when I received them said wideComfortable from the day i started to wear these shoes. I had bunion surgery on my left big toe with plates and screws, my doctor recommended these shoes. I am 100% happy with these shoes and would highly recommand them.These shoes were perfect as far as being able to find the proper width. They are extremely comfortable and are able to accommodate my orthotic and provide necessary support. I put them on and they felt great.I’ve worn these NB840 for a few years. Excellent tennis shoe for exercise
