First run this morning in this shoe--it is roomy in the forefoot and toe box and lighter than the Altras I usually run in. If you like less structure and formfitting in your shoes, this might be a good shoe for you. The tread is good for gravel and trail and grips well. Underfoot, technical terrain like rocks and roots can be felt more than a thicker, sturdier Vibram sole but I think I will enjoy these shoes most on less technical, smoother trail. The BOA system works well--if I had one minor complaint, I wish the BOA tightened a bit more because I have a very narrow foot. Unlike other reviewers, I had no problem getting my foot into the shoe--I found it roomy. Happy to add these to the rotation!
