Seems to be a good shoe overall. They were advertised as wide but I don't think they are, so small for me. I haven't tried them on the trails yet, but grip looks like it would do well.I didn’t know Saucony made trail running shoes, but I prefer the peregrine 10 over well known trail running brand shoes. And thank you Saucony for having a wide option! (Although I wish the cuter colors had wide options :) I have worn these on 47 miles days in the mountains, on rainy trail, on consecutive 25 + mile trail days, and these shoes have not been a problem for me. They probably don’t have outstanding cushioning, but my feet feel adequately protected. They are wide enough, and big toenails don’t threaten to fall off after a lot of downhill.I m a chef love saucony shoes they offer a good selection of wide these have a wide band attaching the tongue to the inside of the shoe making a tighter fit which gave me tendinitis not fun when you earn your living on your feetI was skeptical at first! I had a hiking trip planned for 4-5 miles. It was my first one and didn’t know what kind of shoes to but. After much research I found these shoes and they did EVERYTHING that was listed- pretty rare. I have wide feet too! When I was going up hill I could feel the shoes grab at the ground and felt confident going downhill. My feet were a little sore, but that was my inexperience. Lol! Would recommend! This is the second pair of the Saucony Peregrine Trail Running Shoes that I own, I bought a pair back in 2018 and still wear them. I needed a black trail sneaker so settled on these again as I know they're tried and true.Since I normally wear a size 8.5, this time I sized up to the 9 wide in order to wear thick socks and have wiggle room for my toes. By the end of the hikes my feet tend to swell up a little so wiggle room is essential. The sneakers have incredible grip when climbing boulders, they are flexible and breathable, just a great all around trail sneaker.Loooooooove this shoe! I hope they never change it, I never want to buy a different shoe! I’m seriously considering stocking up on them in my size! The last pair of Sauconys I had were disappointing, and the sole began peeling apart after only about a month of use, so I was nervous to get another pair. The sole on these is so heavy duty! The treads are deep, which is great for running in snow (Michigan in January), and the fabric is thin but very heavy duty! I don’t write a lot of reviews, but came here specifically to write this one! 10/10!These tied with my New Balance Trail shoes as far as comfort and style, but got a couple extra points for the Gortex water proof feature, since I have a pool service. Easy to clean and with my crooked spine and flat feet, I can wish comfortably on my feet for hours longer than my most comfortable running shoes. I'll check for other colors to order more very soon!!My go-to has been running technical trails with La Sportivas and roads with Saucony/Brooks.Decided to try Peregrine 10's after being disappointed with durability of my last La Sportivas. (They fell apart fast and the fit/lacing system allowed my foot to slide forward crunching my toes on steep hills, unless I laced them way too tight.)Peregrine 10's are absolutely 5 stars. They felt a little snug until my first run was over. Now, they're perfect.-Excellent rockplate for protection.-Great form fit-No foot slidingI am 62 and started to run last year. I love running in my new trainers. Perfect fit and light. I bought 7 1/2. My normal size is 7.Unfortunately the shoes didn't last long. After 9 months the soles started to come off. I only run 5-6 miles a week. Hence they broke after 200 milesDescribed as men’s however actually women’s and too small for men’s sizing.I have problems with my feet and have found that the Saucony Peregrines are about the only runner/walking shoe I can wear. I've gone through 2 pairs previous to these and these are a huge disappointment. They are much tighter than my old pair, even with over 6 weeks of trying to break them in. They are just too painful to wear. Seem much thinner and poorly made, with harder 'rub' areas.Cannot return as past the 30 days, but also cannot wear these. Never again Saucony!
